We strive to make thoughtful architecture that contributes towards people’s sense of well-being, informs the way we interact with each other in society and advocates the careful management of resources for future generations.
Our approach focuses on developing a well-researched and intuitive understanding of the site - whether this is an existing building or landscape. We draw from the spirit of place and its narrative through time to create well-judged and uplifting contemporary settings that fit people’s needs while promoting the sustainable use of materials and energy.
Liz King is a Certified Passivhaus Designer with the Passivhaus Institute, Germany. We adopt an energy efficient approach to all of our projects, advocating air-tight, well-insulated and well-ventilated buildings as the key to reducing reliance on fossil fuels and moving towards the decarbonisation of the built environment.
Our work and interests span domestic architecture, community-led design, landscape, spaces for the arts and public practice advocacy.
